1. If you move a registrant from an event/price that has insurance to an event/price that does not have insurance and the event you are moving to is not a “holding” event, then the insurance is cancelled and the premium is automatically refunded back to the registrant’s credit card and the registrant is sent an email stating as such.
2. If you move a registrant from an event/price that has insurance to a holding event, then the original insurance policy is left alone and stays intact while the registration is in the holding event:
a. If you then move a registration out of a holding event into a non‐holding event that does not offer insurance and the date of the move is before the start date of the original event that the person registered for, then the insurance is cancelled and the premium is automatically refunded back to the registrants credit card and the registrant is sent an email stating as such.
b. If you then move a registration out of a holding event into a non‐holding event that offers insurance and the date of the move is before the start date of the original event that the person registered for and the event you are moving to is less than or equal to the original event price, then the original insurance policy is cancelled and a new policy is created and the user will get a new policy email from Allianz with the new policy number. If the event moving to is less than the original event, then the difference in the premium price is refunded back to the registrant’s credit card and the registrant is sent an email stating as such
c. If you then move a registration out of a holding event into a non‐holding event that offers insurance and the date of the move is before the start date of the original event that the person registered for and the event you are moving to is greater than the original event price, then the original insurance policy is cancelled and the premium is automatically refunded back to the registrants credit card and the registrant is sent an email stating as such. Also a new insurance quote is created in the system so that when the registrant goes to pay their balance on the registration (since they were moved into a higher priced event), then they will have the option to select and pay for a new insurance policy on the new
event. If during the move, they select that the person “paid in full” and does not owe a balance, then insurance cannot be purchased on the new event. We can only allow insurance purchase when a
customer pays for registration.
3. If you move a registration into a non‐holding event/price that offers insurance and the date of the move is before the start date of the “from” event and the event/price you are moving to is less than or equal to the original event price, then the original insurance policy is cancelled and a new policy is created and the user will
get a new policy email from Allianz with the new policy number. If the event moving to is less than the original event, then the difference in the premium price is refunded back to the registrant’s credit card and the registrant is sent an email stating as such.
4. If you move a registration into a non‐holding event/price that offers insurance and the date of the move is before the start date of the “from” event and the event/price you are moving to is greater than the original event price, then the original insurance policy is cancelled and the premium is automatically refunded back to
the registrants credit card and the registrant is sent an email stating as such. Also a new insurance quote is created in the system so that when the registrant goes to pay their balance on the registration (since they were moved into a higher priced event), then they will have the option to select and pay for a new insurance policy on the new event. If during the move, they select that the person “paid in full” and does not owe a balance, then insurance cannot be purchased on the new event. We can only allow insurance purchase when a customer pays for registration.
5. When you move a reg, you have the option to send the balance due email during the move if they will owe a balance…but they don’t have to select this. If they don’t select this during the move, then the customer will not get an email from the system to pay their balance. But you can also manually have the system send that balance due email by clicking on their balance due on their reg in the reg list page. Basically, they need to get that balance due email/link and pay their balance and when they do, they will be able to re‐purchase insurance.
Example:
The camp now offers a insured refund policy via the purchase of a policy offered by Allianz. This Registration Protector Policy provides coverage for lost registration fees when a camper has to cancel or leave the camp for a reason covered by the policy.
The Camp Management STRONGLY URGES ALL CAMPERS to purchase this policy. This was a huge success for those campers who had this policy in the past and had to use it. The value cannot be overstated considering the cost of the policy.
Covered reasons for camp cancellation or interruption include:
• Injury or illness to the camper or a close family member
• Family employment issues
• Transportation delays
• Military/family/legal obligations
• Weather emergencies that prevent the registrant from attending this event.
-------------------------------
If the Camp is canceled by the Camp Founder prior to the Camp designated weekend, a partial up to a full refund will be made. Any and all request for a refund once a secured registered slot has been secured by an attendee, the Camp Founder will have the final decision on how much, if any, of a refund will be allotted.
Weather related Refund Policy: If the Camp is canceled for weather prior to the start of the Camp, a $100 refund will be provided.
Once the Camp has started, no refund will be offered but the Camp Founder reserves the right to offer refunds at his sole discretion pending what circumstances occur.
Note: Rather a camp refund is provided or not, no out of pocket accrued expenses relating to attending the camp will ever be refunded.
Example:
During online registration campers are given the opportunity to purchase Registration Protector insurance from Allianz Global Assistance. Campers who purchase Registration Protector will be refunded by Allianz for lost registration fees when the camper has to cancel or leave camp for a reason covered by the policy. For those campers who purchase Registration Protector, any cancellation for reasons not covered will be refunded at 50% up to 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. No refunds are provided for campers who choose not to purchase Registration Protector.
Example:
They can contact Allianz directly and purchase it....but if they got hurt before they purchased the policy it will surely be denied. They will have to show documentation of the reasoning they are unable to attend, and if it happened prior to their insurance purchase date then I'm sure it will be denied.
